Parents: Thomas Allender and Ellen Hordell, married 1872, Stoke Upon Trent, Staffordshire, England.

[POSSIBLE MATCH] A death registration was found for Thomas Allender: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1853; Year of Registration: 1884; Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec; Age at Death: 31; District: Stoke Upon Trent; County: Staffordshire; Volume: 6b; Page: 115.

In 1886, Ellen Allender remarried either James Bennett or David Johnson.

In 1888, Samuel Alender, 14, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 99 boys for Mr. Quarrier who traveled with Maria Rye?s party and en route to Belleville, Ontario, Canada. (Sidenote: the Sessional Papers say for Quarrier but it probably should say for Mrs. Robert Wallace.)
