William Allinson remarried at least twice more before his death in 1948.
In 1903, Lancelot Allison, 9, arrived in Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 262 children en route to Toronto, Ontario; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Russell, Quebec, Canada. His brother Herbert Arthur Allison/Allinson arrived in 1906 with Barnardos on the Dominion.
On May 5, 1916, Lancelot Allinson enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he resided in Hillside, Ontario, Canada; that he was born in Scalby, Yorkshire, England; that his next of kin was his friend, Mr. Randolph Hill, who resided in Hillside, Ontario, Canada; that he was born November 23, 1892; that he was not married; and that he was a farmer. He was described as 5 foot 6-1/2 inches in height; fresh complexion; blue eyes; and auburn hair. He was a member of the Methodist faith.
On June 23, 1920, at Dwight United Church, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Lancelot Allinson, 28, farmer, born in England, son of William Allinson and Emma Redman; and Edith Evelyn Thompson, 25, telephone operator, born in Port Cunnington, Thompsons Portage, Ontario, Canada, daughter of John Thompson and and Jennet Kennedy. J.C. Blake Hill, Hillsdale, Ontario, (son of Randolph Hill) witnessed the marriage.
Lancelot and Edith Allinson had one child, Gordon Randolph, who was born in 1921 and died in 1998. (EDITORS NOTE: Randolph was the name of the farmer that took in Lancelot. He was not only named as next of kin on his military attestation, it appears that his name was given as a middle name to Lancelot's child. Sometimes you find that the children did have what appeared to be good homes with kind and loving people.)
Lancelot Allinson died in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, on August 15, 1973, at the age of 80 years. He is buried at Maplewood Cemetery. Edith Thompson Allinson died August 10, 1981, in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada.
