Parents: Alfred Allwright and Susan Laughton, married March 29, 1858, at St James Westminster, Middlesex, England.

A death registration was found for Susan Allwright: Year of Registration: 1875; Quarter of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar; Age at Death: 38; District: West Ham; County: Essex, Greater London; Volume: 4a; Page: 34. [EDITORS NOTE: Alfred Allwright died in 1894 in West Ham, Essex, England.]

In 1879, Bertha Albright, 10 (along with sister, Phebe Albright, 8), arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 53 Maria Rye girls en route to Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada.

On May 28, 1891, at Tilbury, Kent, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Bertha I. Allwright, 22, born in London, England, [parents not named]; and Isaac James Way, 32, born in Grey County, Ontario, Canada, to John and Mary Way.

Isaac James and Bertha Isabella Allwright Way had at least 4 children: Florence Adella Way, born December 9, 1892 and died April 24, 1894, of an accident whereby she fell on a knitting needle which pierced her brain; Ed Thomas Way, born July 19, 1898, James Alfred Way, born April 2, 1906; and Wilbert Roger Way, born September 17, 1903, all in Kent, Ontario, Canada.
