Notes[POSSIBLE MATCH] A birth registration was found for George A Annis: Year of Registration: 1911; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; Mother's Maiden Name: Evans; District: Toxteth Park; County: Lancashire; Volume: 8b; Page: 291. Parents: Parents: Charles Edward Annis and Minnie Evans, married 1900, in Liverpool, Lancashire, England.

In 1928, George Annis, 16, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of Barnardo children. He declared that he was born in Liverpool, England; that his passage was paid by Dr. Barnardo's Homes in London; that his intended occupation was farming; that his destination was to his friend, Mr. J. W. Hobday, 538, Jarvis St., Toronto, Ontario, Canada; that his next of kin was his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Annis, 23, Atopford St., Dingle, Liverpool, England.

Barnardo Ups & Downs, No. 4, December 5, 1931; and November, 1932, No. 3, reported that George Annis had donated to the Homes.
