In 1901, Arthur Bannister, 12, inmate, residing in Dr Barnardo Home, Mile End Old Town, London,

On 20 Feb 1909, Arthur James Bannister, 20 years and 5 months, labourer, enlisted in the British Army in Northampton. He declared that he had belonged to the Royal Fusilliers. He declared he was enlisting for the Northamptonshire Regiment.

His next of kin were listed as Mother-Caroline Penny, 4 Eliza Terrace, Wellstead Road, East Ham
