Age 11, home-fair only, employed at general chores, healthy, attends Baptist Church, but has not attended since coming here, Public School between 3 and 4 months, character-well behaved. Terms-Board and Clothing. William Barron is quite a child. The Peppers have no children and Mrs Pepper seems to be really attached to the lad, otherwise I would recommend his removal, as they do not appear to be in very good circumstances. Mrs Pepper, herself, is well recommended to me. The boy has plenty of work to do considering his age. He has not yet been supplied with his winters clothing, but I was assured they were preparing them.
