August 18 1902, with Mrs May, Welsford,Queens, NB

Age 12, Terms-Board, Clothing and Pocket Money.
Lucy Beake is a bright girl. She attends the Presbytarian Church and Sunday School, and is carefullly looked after. She has been taught general housework, very nasty tempered, but when she gets over these fits of temper, Mrs May states she is a very kind and affectionate child. Mrs May is quite an elderly lady and I am inclined to think that she allows the girl to have too much of her own way, and that, under the circumstances, it would be in the interests of the girl if she were re-placed. The Agent of the Society will be so advised.
