NotesRoland was placed at Fairbridge Farm School, Molong, New South Wales, with his brother William.

They travelled in a party of 15 boys and 14 girls who went to Australia under the Fairbridge Farm scheme by the liner Strathnaver. 11 of them disembarked at Fremantle to go to the farm school at Pinjarra, with the remainder travelling on to Melbourne and Sydney (Source: NLA Trove Newspaper).

Another brother, Herbert came to Molong in June 1939.

Roland became a reverend and is buried in the Fairbridge section of the Molong Cemetery.
