Notes Report by Marchmont Home.
November 16 1896, with John Rankin, Picton, Ontario
Fred is a nice quiet little boy, in a good home. He met with an accident this summer. Went too near one of the horses and received a kick in the face. The scar shows a little but we do not think it will be much detriment to him. He will go to school this winter.

Fred was in the field with Mr Ferguson driving the horses. He is a stout boy not very truthful, but he is trying to do his best and will go to school very soon. He has been with Mr Ferguson about two weeks, and attends Church and Sunday school.
August 11 1897, Wm H McDonald, Castleton, Ontario
Fred was away at Mrs McDonald's mothers. He has a very good place but is not trying to keep it. Is inclined to be impertinent and disobedient. Goes to church and Sunday school and day school in winter, is quick to learn, is in the 3rd book.
