Age 14, a comfortable farm home, employed at chores, good health, attends Church of England regularly in good weather, character-honest and truthful and obedient. Employer has no complaint. Engagement ending 1st April 1905 for which term he is to receive $100. This boy I find, is well placed with kind people who use him well. He tells me that he has no complaint and is thoroughly satisfied-a bright, intelligent lad, comfortably clad and evidently well fed. He is at school now.
