NotesCarl was among a party of 16 boys aboard Jervis Bay, placed at Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Western Australia.

He married a fellow Fairbridgian, Daphne Norma Mercedes BOXLEY, who had arrived in 1934 aboard Oronsay. Daphne was born 29 Nov 1922 and died 16 May 1991, aged 68.

Both Carl and Daphne are buried at Fairbridge Cemetery.
