Age 14, very good home, employed at farming, health good, church and school attendance not good, character good, terms-12 months board and clothing, then wages. Mr Helms does not let the boy go to school. I will write him. If the boy does not get schooling I will have him removed.

Age 13, satisfactory home, employed at light farm work, good health, has not been sick since coming here, attends Baptist church, does not attend school, but they intend sending him shortly, character-good, reliable and truthful. Terms-Receives board, lodging and clothes. Mr and Mrs Helms speak well of this lad, and appear to be very well pleased with him. Buck says that he has no complaints to make, and appeared to be quite satisfied and contented.
