Age 16, good home, farm work, good health, attends Baptist Church, does not attend school, has a fair education, character good, terms-Board, Lodging and Clothes. Mr Geldart says that Bullock is an industrious lad and gives him satisfaction. The boy likes his work and is quite contented.

Age 17, a steady reliable youth, well suited for farm work, his third year here. His employer speaks in high terms of him. At present he receives $3 per month and living wages rather small. He will leave here in the autumn and join his brother in Carleton Co, NB, He should have no difficulty in finding a good situation and good wages. He is quite capable of doing for himself.

On June 14 1918, Joseph Bullock born August 5th 1883 Bristol was drafted into the Canadian Army under the 1917 Military Act. There is a note saying he was arrested on 15 June 1919 or 1918 (hard to make out). Address given as 116 Hastings St West, Vancouver, BC, his next of kin was his brother Elijah Bullock, Balmoral Hotel, 159 Hastings St W, East Vancouver, BC
