John Cane, farmer, P.O Mount St Patrick, Renfrew, Ontario

June 26 1900

Thinks he is about 14 years of age, suitable home, employed in helping with house work, health-excellent now-had a cough for over a year, but is now entirely free from it, attends Roman Catholic Church, no schooling-is taught at home, character-a lad of good habits, bidable and obedient. Terms-Board and Clothing. Both Mr and Mrs Cane appear to be much pleased with the lad. He is not a strong looking lad. Burke had no complaints, he is fond of the family, and is treated well; has plenty of clothing.
