NotesIn 1887, Percy Burns, 12, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 18 young persons sent by Croydon Union, Surrey, England, accompanied by Rev. R. F. Winter and en route to various places.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. W. C. B.Graham, Government Immigration Agent at Winnipeg.

Percy Burns, aged 12. From Croydon Union. Placed with Mr. J. Craddock, Stonewall.?Conduct on the whole not bad, have not been able to get full particulars from his master."
