Notes In 1905, M. Caird, 10, arrived in Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 433 children (males to Toronto, Ontario, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and the females to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada). There were nine adults on the end of the list who were travelling with the group. Frederick Franks, a boy aged 7, was listed as going to Peterborough.
In 1911, May Caird, 18, is shown as a domestic to William Scott and family in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Her date of birth is shown as May, 1892, and her immigration year as 1897.
May's brother was sent to Australia and they had no contact. It is possible that May never knew she had a brother.
May Caird died 1992 in the Anson Retirement Home, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. May is believed to be buried in the Scott family grave. Cecil Ferguson was the executor of May's will and Mrs. Cecil Ferguson is listed as next of kin for May's burial. which I believe is no longer there. Once again thanks I appreciate your help.
