William, Frederick, Victor and Rose Carpenter were admitted to Lambeth Union Workhouse as follows:

April 19, 1900 - April 20, 1900, Admitted to Workhouse
April 27, 1900 - April 27, 1900, Discharged to Lambeth Union Schools
June 25, 1900 - June 27, 1900, Discharged to the Schools

Their father, William Carpenter, had deserted them. Their mother, Emily, was in Renfrew Road Workhouse.

Frederick, Victor, and Rose Carpenter were all discharged to their father, who was residing at 4 Henton Road, Loughborough, on October 11, 1901.

William Carpenter was discharged to Barnardo's Home on June 12, 1901.

According to Dr Barnardo Ups and Dowbs VOL VIII APRIL - MAY 1902, No. 1, William Carpenter had been placed with R. J. Wilson, of Enterprise, Ontario.

He was described as 5 foot 7 inches in height; clear complexion; blue eyes; brown hair. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith.

William George Carpenter married Hazel Davis (born 1901 to Howard Joseph Davis and Mabel June in Alberta, Canada) about 1925 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. They had at least one child: Harry William Carpenter, born November 25, 1926, in Edomonton, Alberta, Canada.

Hazel Davis Carpenter died in 1991 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
