NotesA birth registration was found for Rose Margaret Chambers: Year of Registration: 1895; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; District: Wandsworth; County: Greater London, London, Surrey; Volume: 1d; Page: 746. Parents: Emma Chambers (nee See) and George Bennett.

Emma Chambers (the girls' mother) had previously been married to Alfred Chambers. Together they had seven children between 1875 and 1892 - Emma Elizabeth, Alfred, William George, Charles Henry, Elizabeth (Lizzie), Robert and John. All the children were born in Wandsworth. Sometime after October 1891 Alfred disappeared from the picture and Emma met George Bennett. Together they had three children: Rose Margaret Chambers, Nellie Jane Chambers and Frederick George Bennett.

George was a Porter for the London & South Western Railway Company. George was killed in an accident at the Nine Elms Goods Yard on May 20 1905. It appears that Emma kept Frederick George with her.Emma hung onto the two girls until November 9, 1905 at which time they were turned over to the Church of England Children's Society. They attended the Garrett Lane London County Council School.

No evidence can be found of the demise of Emma. In the voting registers she was shown as Emma Bennett at 24 Iron Mill Place in 1906. After that she simply disappeared.

In 1907, Rose Chambers, 11 (along with her sister, Nellie Chambers, 9), arrived in Quebec, Canada, with a group of 17 children from Waifs & Strays Association, London, England.

In 1911, Rose Chambers, 18, is shown as a domestic / housekeeper to James Johnston, in York, York South, Ontario, Canada. Her date of birth is shown as June 1893 and her immigration year as 1890.

On February 20, 1919, in Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Rose Margaret Chambers, 25, born in England, parents deceased; and Bertram Reginald Sinnicks, 29, farmer, born in England, parents deceased.

Rose Margaret Chambers Sinnicks died in 1966. Her husband Bertram Sinnicks died in 1954. They are buried in Fairview Cemetery, Niagra Falls, Ontario, Canada.
