Upon calling to see this little girl today, I learned that she had been placed late in the summer with Mrs J W S Downey, Cookstown, Simcoe, Ontario

October 30 1902

When I called at the address above today, I was informed that Annie Childs had been removed to the Societys Home, NIagara on the Lake. She was rather small for the work expected of her here and generally unsuitable. In addition to her being unsuitable, Mrs Downey complains that she was so stubborn she could hardly do anything with her, otherwise her character was fairly satisfactory.
She had a very desirable home here.
