The name in the 1891 census is actually "Fanny Davis". She was the children's great-aunt. Thomas Freeman was her brother, and thus the children's great uncle.
We have been unable to trace the whereabouts of Frank & Kate's parents at this time and they are presumed dead. According to Frank's birth record his parents were: William Calvert Clarence and Ada Mary Phillips. Ada was a niece of Fanny Davis.
On December 16 1908, Frank Hamilton Clarence, 21, son of George Clarence and mother unknown, married Mabel Dunham, 18, in Wellington Co, Ontario
