Dear Mr and Mrs Wallace
I hope you are quite well, as I am myself. I spent a nice Christmas. I thank you very very much for your Camel Watch?. I wish you a merry Xmas and a Happy new year. It is now very cold. We had a snow storm on thursday and it was very windy. Sister gave me two christmas presents, one was a pen combined with a pencil. We had two Christmas trees and I got two on each of them. I have been to school for about three or four weeks. We had a nice Christmas dinner of roast Goose and plum pudding. I light the fires of a morning. Write as quick as you can and tell me how you enjoyed your Christmas. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoever believeth on him should not perish but have everlasting life. I suppose they had their stockings full of nice things on Christmas. I think I close my letter now this is all I have to say, from your loving boy, Arthur Clowes, Tennyson, Ontario

Arthur is growing quickly and if he continues to do so will be a big man. He is naturally large, strong and healthy. He is very happy, likes the farm and is getting quite useful about the chores. He can harness a horse quite well. Mr Sheil gives him a very good character. He goes to school during the winter, is in the 3rd book. Attends church.
