Jane (b, 5 Feb 1879), Jemima (b. 16 March 1885) and Thomas (27 July 1887) Connal are in the 1891 Census for Scotland listed as orphans in the Orphan Homes of Scotland, Bridge of Weir (Quarriers). There was one other sister living with grandparents 1891. The father, James Connal died in September 1890 and mother Elizabeth Batchen Connal (Artistic Hair Worker) Edinburgh showing Thomas Madden, border. She married him December 1891.
