On July 24 1911, Mabel Dorothy Crawley, 24, daughter of John Crawley and Ellen Devereux, married Earnest Groves, 29, son of Herbert Groves and Charlotte Ada Bray, in Toronto, York, Ontario

On November 19 1913, Mabel entered the USA from Canada accompanied by her son Gordon aged 1 year 1 month, they were heading to join her husband Ernest, in Cleveland, Ohio at 1325 St Claire Street,

Birth records indicate that Mabel and her husband may have had twin boys but one died days after birth and their may have been some confusion over the childrens names as it appears that on November 9th 1912, Mabel and her husband Ernest registered the death of their son Gordon Roy aged 10 days old at Brantford General Hospital on November 5 1912, cause given as Heart Failure caused by Malnutrition.
