NotesEdith arrived in Canada aboard the SS Scotsman with her elder sister Sarah Ellen. Edith had been placed int the Barnardo Homes in Yorkshire in April 1894, her sister Sarah followed in June 1894.

Edith appears on The 1901 census for Reach Twp Ontario South County listed as age 17 and a domestic, in the home of Leonard Burnett

Edith married Francis rRobert Watson on June 22 1904 in Seymour Twp, Ontario. they initially lived in Greenbank Ontario.

By the time of the 1906 census for Saskatchewan they had moved, family was Francis as head, his wife Edith and His brother Russell.

They had three children: Dorothy, Verna and Francis.
