Notes In 1921, Christina Dear, 15, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 134 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was declared that she was 17; that her birthplace was was Liverpool [Lancashire, England]; that her present occupation was as a domestic worker; that her intended occupation was as a domestic worker; that her object in going to Canada was for domestic work; that she was destined to Mr. Hobday, Hazel Brae, Peterboro, Ontario, Canada; and that her nearest relative in England was her brother, Edward Dear, who resided at Stepney Home, 18-26 Stepney Causeway, London, England.
