Notes In 1921, Mary E Denyer, 11, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 134 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was declared that she was 17; that her birthplace was East Preston; that her present occupation was as a school girl; that her intended occupation was school; that her object in going to Canada was as a school girl; that she was destined to Mr. Hobday, Hazel Brae, Peterboro, Ontario, Canada; and that her nearest relative in England was her mother, Mrs. Denyer, who resided at 69 Clarendon Road, Hove, Sussex, England.
A juvenile immigration inspector reported [T-15421]:
DENYER, Mary E., 11, . . . Barnardo's to Mrs S F Schneider, Malton, Uxbridge, Waterford
"Well satisfied with situation. Quite satisfactory."
Barnardos UPS and DOWNS, Volume XXX11, Number 2, May 5, 1930, reported:
Mary Denyer, now Mrs T Parsons, a daughter.
