Notes On Tuesday, June 1, 1976, the Brandon Sun reported an obituary for William Charles Diment:
DIMENT: The death of William Charles Diment, 89, of Central Park Lodge, occurred at his residence on May 30, 1976. Mr. Diment was born in County Middlesex, London, England on Jan. 10, 1887. He came to Canada in 1893 to Dr. Barnardo's Home at Orillia, Ont. and later to Pheasant Forks district in Saskatchewan, where he drove the mail. Mr. Diment married the former Annie Harrison in Wadena, Sask., in 1919. He farmed in the Duff district later moving to Lorlie. In 1946 Mr. and Mrs. Diment moved to the Nesbitt district, retiring to Brandon in 1950. The passed [sic] four years they have resided at Central Park Lodge. Surviving are, his wife, Annie Florence; two sons and a daughter: Ernest and William of Brandon and Mrs. Lilian Staples of Souris. There are eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Mrs. Nell Stoddard, and by a brother, Frank. Mr. Diment has been a member of the Orange Lodge since the early 1900s. Funeral service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Wednesday, June 2, 1976 at 4 p.m. Interment will be in Brandon cemetery. Rev. Robert Kayes of Knox United Church will officiate.
