Davina Cunningham Donald died on April 3, 1899, at 51 Moodie Street, Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, of Septicaemia.

In 1911, Edgar Donald, 16, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 50 MacPherson boys en route to Belleville, Ontario, Canada.

On December 11, 1915, at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, Edgar Donald, 20, enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he was born in Edinburgh, Scotland; that his next of kin was his father, William Donald, who resided at 10a Broughton Street, Edinburgh, Scotland; that he resided at Westwood, Peterborough, Ontario, Canada; that his date of birth was March 12, 1895; that he was a farm laborer; and that he was not married. He was described as 5 foot 3 inches in heigh; dark complexion; brown eyes; dark brown hair. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith.

Private Edgar Donald died November 9, 1917. He is buried at the Vlamertinge New Military Cemetery, Vlamertinge, Belgium (Grave Reference: IX. C. 26.)
