NotesOn November 3 1893, Harry Donovan born 1890 and his brother Michael born 1886, were admitted to the Roman Catholic School at Mill Hill, Hendon from St Pancras Union, it was noted they had no mother, father Michael Donovan died in Colney Hatch Asylum on 10 September 1895. Harry was sent to Canada on June 19 1901. No note was made as to where Harry's brother Michael was discharged to.

Age 13, comfortable but humble home, employed at farming, good health, attends Roman Catholic Church, no schooling, character-not creditable -defective. Terms-Board and Clothing. Through the carelessness of the boy it is alleged, that Mr Quinns barn, filled with hay, a valuable horse and a number of young cattle were burned. The boy pleads guilty to smoking in the barn but claims that the fire was accidental. The family still feel interested in him.
