In 1921, Florence Dooley, 16, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 134 Barnardo children en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She declared that her present occupation was domestic work; that her intended occupation was domestic work; that she did not know her place of birth; that her passage was paid by Dr. Barnardo's Homes; that she was destined to her friend, Mr. Hobday, Hazel Brae, Peterboro, Ontario, Canada; and that her nearest relation was her mother, Mrs. Dooley, who resided at 47 Carrington Road, Derby, England.
On May 21, 1925, at Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Florence Ellen Dooley, 19, domestic, born in England to Paul Dooley and Jessie Wain; and Richard Ivor Hyndman, 20, chauffeur, born in England to James Darby Hyndman and Jane Ann Elizabeth Burton.
On July 8, 1943, Florence (Dooley) Hyndman crossed into the United States through the port of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan. She declared that her place of birth was Burton, Trent, England; and that her date of birth was May 28, 1906.
