NotesWilliam Bayne Dow was the son of Charles Bayne Dow and Jane Love of Scotland.

In 1914, William Bain Dow, 10, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, along with a group of 89 children en route to Brockville, Ontario, Canada.

In 1930, William Dow, 28, porter, was shown resident employee at the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn, in Brooklyn, Kings, New York. He was shown as an alien who immigrated to the United States in 1929.

William Bayne Dow married Mary Leona Liles.

William Bayne Dow died on February 27, 1996 in Sycamore, De Kalb, Illinois. According to his son, William B. Dow, Jr., "He never admitted to being a home child and took it to the grave with him."
