(Parents: Alfred Thomas Driver and Clara Kathleen Aldridge, married Islington, North London, on February 9, 1902.)

The family resided in the Wood Green, Hornsey, Islington, London, England, area until the death of Alfred Thomas Driver in 1908. The couple had three children: William Thomas Driver b: June 15, 1902 in Hornsey, North London; Violet Muriel (Crouter) b: 1904; and Rose b: 1907.

Alfred Thomas Driver died on December 28, 1908.

In 1913, Violet Driver, 9, arrived at Quebec, Canada, along with a group of 119 girl domestics accompanied by matron, Mrs Lloyd, en route to Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. (Her brother William Driver, had previously arrived in Canada with Barnardos in 1910 at the age of 8.)

On November 4, 1921, at Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Violet Driver, 18, domestic, born in London, England to Arthur T. Driver and Clara Aldridge; and Clarence Henry Crouter, 18, butcher, born in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, to Sydney W. Crouter and Luella Brough.
