In 1901, Chas. Fred Dryden, 1 year of age, was found residing at 9 Burford Road, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. Other family members included: Daisy Blanch Dryden, 16; Geo Arthur Dryden, 2; Henry Arth Dryden, 50, cashier newspaper; and Maria Dryden, 24. A death registration was found for Henry Arthur Dryden: Estimated Birth Year: abt 1850; Year of Registration: 1909; Quarter of Registration: Apr-May-Jun; Age at Death: 59; District: Basford; County: Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire; Volume: 7b; Page: 126.
When Henry passed away, Maria was left to tend to Charles and George, maybe even Daisy. Money was short, she sold off a few things. Eventually she got the Masonic Lodge which Henry had been a member of to help pay for Charles' passage to Canada.
In 1915, Charles F. Dryden, 15, arrived at Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, along with a group of 18 young persons en route to various destinations.
On December 17, 1925, Charles Frederick Dryden married Olive Maude Hayes in Maugerville, Sunbury, New Brunswick, Canada. (Ref. No. B4/1925)
Charles Frederick Dryden died on October 31, 1953, in York, New Brunswick, Canada (Reg. No. 5322). Olive Dryden died sometime in 1961.
