NotesIn 1887, Henry Edmy, 13, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 60 boys accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. W. J. Wills, Government Immigration Agent at Ottawa.

Henry Edmy, aged 14. From Parish of St. Mary, Lambeth. Placed with Jas. McEvoy, Lot 12, Con. 3, Co. Russell, Ontario.?Remarkably well placed, and a very good boy."

On December 4, 1905, at Gloucester, Carleton, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Henry Edmey, 31, farmer, born in England to unknown parents; and Emily Meakins, 24, born in England to Robert Meakins and Emily Lye.

Henry and Emily Meakins Edmy had at least 3 children: Lily May Edmy, born October 14, 1906, in Gloucester, Ontario, Canada; Helen Edmy, born about 1907; and Albert Edmy born about 1908.

Henry Edmy died on October 1, 1963, at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. (Registration No. 1963-09-011919)
