Notes In 1887, Thomas Elcock, 10, arrived in Canada in a group of 38 Middlemore children accompanied by Mr. John T. Middlemore and en route to the Guthrie Home, London, Ontario, Canada.

Thos. Elcock, aged 10. From Wolverhampton Union. Placed with Jonathan Newson, Lot 7, Con. 2, Stephenson, Beatrice P.O.?Getting on very well. Being too far from school, this old couple are educating him at present themselves, though he attends Sunday school. A very good home for the boy."
