NotesIn 1886, James Ellicot, 14, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 77 children from London Union accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. W. J. Wills, Government Immigration Agent at Ottawa.

Jas. Ellicot, aged 16. From Westminster Union. Placed with Daniel Driscoll, Lot 28, Con. 1, Limebank P.O., Co. Russell, Ontario. ?Comfortably placed."
