A birth registration was found for Charles George Fawcett; Year of Registration: 1891; Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec; District: St Saviour Southwark; County: London, Surrey; Volume: 1d; Page: 53.)

George Fawcett died in Southwark, London, England in 1898 and was buried in the Nunhead cemetery. (Year of Registration: 1898; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; Age at Death: 34; District: St Saviour Southwark; County: London, Surrey; Volume: 1d; Page: 91.) Five of the children also died in close proximity to their father's death.

Charles George Fawcett was admitted with his surviving two brothers (Robert and Harry) to Barnardos Homes on November 5, 1900. One daughter, Jane E. Fawcett, remained with their mother.

Charles Fawcett, 9, along with his brother Henry Fawcett, arrived in Portland, Maine, with a group of 260 Dr. Barnardo children from London, England, to Toronto, Ontario, (193), Peterborough, Ontario (6) and to Russell, Manitoba (60).

In 1901, Charles G. Fawcett, 9, and Henry E. Fawcett,7, are shown as boarders with Henry Greb and family in Monck, Simcoe, Ontario, Canada. No birth date or immigration year is shown.

In 1911, Charles Fawcett, 19, was shown as a domestic / laborer for Matthew Richardson and family, in Seneca, Haldimand, Ontario, Canada. His birth date was shown as October 1891 and his immigration year as 1907.

On February 24, 1915, Charles George Fawcett enlisted in the Canadian Armed Forces. He declared that he was born in London, England; that his next of kin was Mrs. Elizabeth Fawcett, who resided at 132 Victoria Street, London, England; that his date of birth was October 26, 1892; and that he was a farmer. He was described as 5 foot 5-1/2 inches in height; dark complexion; hazel eyes; and brown hair. He was a member of the Methodist faith. He had distinguishing marks of a scar on the right thigh and a scar on the back of the left hand.

On October 26, 1918, at London, Ontario, Canada, Charles George Fawcett, 27, married Janet Thompson Robertson Mapletoft, 25, daughter of James Mapletoft and Mary Ferguson. Charles stated he was born in London, England; that he was a machinist; that he resided in London, Ontario, Canada; and that his parents names were Geo. Fawcett and Elizabeth Chandler.

Charles' mother, Elizabeth Chandler Fawcett, emigrated to Canada and died in Ontario in 1948.
