NotesIn 1887, Charles Flanigan, 14, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 60 boys accompanied by Cardinal Manning and en route to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Report of Mr. W. J. Wills, Government Immigration Agent at Ottawa.

Chas. Flannigan, aged 15. From Holborn Union. Placed in Monastery of Our Lady of Charity, Ottawa, Ontario.?A good boy, employed as choreboy and to drive the sisters round, been sick in fever, but has now recovered."
