NotesGeorge and Etta Gilbert had two British Home Children.
1. Harry Farod (Foord)arrived in Montreal from England on the SS Dominion in 1908. Born in May 1901, he immigrated to Canada as part of the Dr. Barnardos group.
2. Bert Penfold arrived in Halifax from England on the Dominion on March 3, 1907. He was born August 14, 1897. Bert later enlisted in Bracebridge on December 14, 1915. He joined the 122nd Overseas Battalion in WW1.
