Alice was placed at Fairbridge Farm School, Pinjarra, Western Australia. She was one of 160 children who came to Australia aboard ‘Ballarat’ in 1928. 115 went to Fairbridge WA, the remainder on to Sydney.

She died aged 91, late of Lesmurdie WA. Her 2nd husband Sydney died in 1988 aged 80. They are interred together at Karrakatta Cemetery (Wesleyan EA271).
