NotesIn 1887, William Fraser, 4, arrived at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, in a group of 55 Scottish children accompanied by Miss Stirling, Children's Aid and Refuge, Edinburgh, Scotland, and en route Hillfoot Farm, Aylesford, Nova Scotia, Canada.

After a fire destroyed the Hillfoot Farm where he was living with Miss Stirling, he was one of the children who would be taken to Caln, Chester, Pennsylvania where she fled after the suspicious fire.
