On 23 April 1915, James Gamble, sergeant, 24, was killed while fighting with Canadian Field Artillery, he was the son of Mary Elizabeth Constantine (formerly Gamble), of 4, Cabul Place, Armley, Leeds, England. He is remembered on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.
