Age 16, excellent farm home, employed at farm work, good health, attends Congregational church, a fair scholar, was in the 7th Standard in England. Character-an exceptionally good boy. Terms-Wages, $32 1st, $48 2nd, and $64 3rd years respectively. William Gardiner is very satisfactory to Mr Luckham. He is a boy of excellent character and appearance; is fond of reading. He is making good progress, and is contented. Mr Luckham is a good farmer, and the surroundings are pleasant and cheerful

William Gardner returned to Toronto and obtained employment with a firm of plumbers in the City. After working with them for a short time, he had a desire to go to the Canadian North-West, and was sent there by Mr Owen.
