Hanna Loucks was born in Scotland on October 16,1895,daughter of the late Joseph and Eliza Gilmour.She came to Canada at the age of 12 to the Eganville district.At 16,she moved to the Loucks,homestead at Frankville. She was married in Frankville United Church on December 23,1914,to George Edward Loucks,who predeceased her on Feb.13,1966.She was a member of the old Frankville United Church and was a popular singer in the church and at weddings and funerals.She was a life member of the Frankville Women's Institute and an avid sports fan,especially enjoying Hockey Night in Canada on Saturdays.She survived by a daughter and son: Mrs.Kenneth E.McKenzie ( Belva),of Vancouver,B.C., who attended her mother's funeral,and Jim Loucks,of Brockville.Also surviving are six grandchildren.six great-grandchildren and a great great grandson.She was predeceased by a son Gilmour,in February,1987.Friends were received at the Judson Funeral Home,Athens until Monday,September 5,when the funeral service was held at 2 p.pm. with Reverend Glen Stewart of Toledo United Church officiating. Interment followed at Lehigh Cemetery. The pallbearers were Donald and Keith Hanton,Gordon and Orley Brundige,Ray and Clifford Ireland.During the service.a solo after was sung by Lloyd Willows. Two of her favorite hymns."In the Garden" and "Abide with Me" were sung during the service. The Frankville Women's Institute held a memorial service in the funeral home on Sunday evening. There was a floral display and many in memoriams to the Lehigh Cemetery Memorial Fund.
