Notes This obit came from the Lois Stanford British Home Child Collection - ......................................................................................................Edward Goodyear..Sept.13,1962.....The death occurred very suddenly of Edward Goodyear of ????mer Ave,Toronto, at his work near St.Catherines,Thursday,September 13.He was employed by Canada Steel Construction Company and had been with the firm as a steelworker for more than 20 years.He was 58 years of age. Mr.Goodyear was born in England on April 7,1904 and had been a resident of Canada for over 40 years. He was married in Toronto to the former Frances Ross,formerly of Athens,who survives with one sister in England. Mrs.Mar Ross of Brockville is his mother-in-law.The remains rested at the Scott Funeral Home,14 Clarissa St,from Monday evening until Tuesday afternoon,September 18, when the funeral service was held at two o'clock.Interment was made in Oak Leaf Cemetery. Several friends and relatives from this district attended the funeral and burial.Mrs.Heber Cowies of Athens,is an aunt of Mrs.Goodyear.
