Notes sent by Lambeth Union
January 22 1903, with T W Brown, farmer and postmaster, Belcourt, Manitoba
Age 14, passably comfortable home, employed at chores about the house, is slightly deaf but is looking healthy, attends Church of England services every fortnight, the service being every second Sunday, has not attended school, character-honest and fairly truthful, occasional fits of bad temper, moody temperament, fairly happy and good natured
Terms-Indentured for three years at $20, $30 and $40 per year, clothes, board and other necessaries.
Mr Brown states that there was no understanding as to school attendance. The boy seems well fed and fairly well cared for but I think is harshly, though not cruelly treated at times. The school is less than a mile away, and he should have schooling.
