Notes[POSSIBLE MATCH] A birth registration was found for Joseph Henerty: Year of Registration: 1877; Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep; District: West Derby; County: Lancashire; Volume: 8b; Page: 498.

In 1887, Joseph Hennerty, 12, arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 129 children from Catholic Children Protection Society, Liverpool, England, accompanied by Mrs. Margaret Lacy, and en route to Hotel Dieu, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

"Copy of Reports of Inspection of Pauper Children sent out to Canada made by Immigration Officers of the Dominion Government and received from the Colonial Office on the 12th December 1888.

Joseph Kennerty, aged 12. From West Derby Union. Said to be placed with Terrence McCann, Lot 21 in 5th Con., Bedford Tp.?Made full inquiry but could not learn of Terrence McCann, said to be no person of that name in Bedford, more likely to be in N. Crosby, did not find this child."

On February 23, 1903, at Lanark, Ontario, Canada, a marriage was registered between Joseph Hennerty, 21, labourer, born in Liverpool to unknown parents; and Agness Bennett, 21, born in Bathurst to John Bennett and Mary Doyle.

Joseph and Agnes Bennett Hennerty had at least 2 children: Mary Agnes Hennerty, born February 25, 1906, in Smiths Falls, Lanark, Ontario, Canada; and Oleita Josephine Hennerty, born December 21, 1907, in smiths Falls, Lanark, Ontario, Canada.

On March 30, 1909, at St. Francis Hospital, Smith Falls, Lanark, Ontario, Canada, Agnes Hennerty, 26, died of heart failure following surgery to remove a tumor.

In April, 1910, Joseph Hennerty, 28, widower, stoker, crossed into the United States through the port of St. Albans, Vermont. He declared that his last permanent residence was at Smiths Falls, Lanark, Ontario, Canada; that his nearest relative was a friend, Rev. Thomas Kelly, who resided in Smiths Falls, Ontario; that his final destination was Watertown, New York; that he carried $600 on his person; that he was going to visit his friend, John Doyl, who resided at Dillon House, Watertown, New York. He was described as 5 foot 6 inches; dark complexion; black hair; brown eyes. He was born in Liverpool, England, and arrived in Quebec in 1889 on an unknown ship.

On November 27, 1912, at Watertown, Jefferson, New York, USA, a marriage was registered between Joseph Hennerty, 34, laborer, marrying for the third time, born in England to Michael Hennerty and Mary Belcher; and Ellen Boes, 40, farmer, marrying for the first time, born in Canada to Michael Boes and Ellen Burns.

Joseph and Ellen Boes Hennerty had at least one child: Leonard J. Hennerty, born May 20, 1916 (died May 1972), in Watertown, Jefferson, New York, USA
