In 1891, George Hurst [transcribed incorrectly from the incoming manifest], arrived at Quebec, Canada, in a group of 117 Barnardo children [George Heriot was actually sent by Rev. William J. Pady, but transported as part of the Barnardos group] accompanied by Mr. Owen and en route to Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

George was first placed with Mr. Spinning, The Marais, Emerson, Manitoba, Canada.
