On May 25 1924, Polly Hobbins, 22, Domestic, born in Birmingham, returned to Canada on SS Franconia, she stated she had previously lived in Canada at the Middlemore Home, Halifax, 1912-1920, she had previously returned to England to her mother at her request. Her passage was paid by Middlemore Homes, and she was going to Middlemore Homes, Halifax, NS, she gave her next of kin as her mother Mrs M A Hobbins, 1/50 Congbere Street, Birmingham
