He declared that he was born in Dublin, Ireland; that his next of kin was Arthur Pullam, who resided at Hespeler, Ontario, Canada; that his date of birth was October 21, 1895; that he was a millhand; that he was not married; and that he had previously served in the 29th Regt. HLC(?). He was described as 5 foot 3-1/2 inches in height; fair complexion; brown eyes; light brown hair. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith. He had a slight defect in speech.
On December 27, 1919, at St. Andrews Hospital, Toronto, York, Ontario, Canada, Arthur Hodgins, 25, ex-soldier, died syphilis, 1 year duration, and heart failure, 1 hour duration.
